Zaragoza!

When everything else falls apart, you can allways rely on your friends & your board to remind you life goes on.

Mercedes Benz shooting!

Some weeks ago the Production Company Page International flew me to Portugal to shoot a Mercedes Benz add.

I can’t really remember any recent moment of my life where I found myself that nervous. I could literally like, puke. Way too much eyes on me (and I’m not the shy kind, you know). But yeah, I survived and now I think it was a wonderful experience.

Making-off video!

Some making-off pics

Frankfurt Main!

My friend Elena invited me to spend this weekend with her in Frankfurt, Germany, where she moved some months ago. I met Elena in Madrid, more than 11 years ago. We were both volunteers at one of the local animal shelters. She was my first friend when I first arrived to Spain.
As in most friendships, life do not always take you to the same places, so the years went by, along with new relationships, houses, jobs or addictions.
These last years, due to all the longboard insanity, I could not spend as much time with her -or any of my friends- as I would have liked to. So this weekend, besides having completely different lives, habits and even points of view, we hanged out together and we had a blast.
We talked, eat, shopped, laughed and danced. Rode bikes, gossiped, cooked, chased trains, messed with each other and eat some more.
So the thing is; that no matter where life takes you, your true friends, will always be your friends. You only have to find some time and make it work.

Lucky for us, an Andy Warhol & Douglas Gordon exhibition was going on at the MMK. Couldn't love it more.

Post mail from Singapore

A few days ago I found this on my mailbox: a “skate hard skate safe” t-shirt, sent from Singapore by my friend Lennat Mak.

I haven’t met Lennat in person yet. She lives in Singapore and I live in Spain. I met her through Longboard Girls Crew, an international female longboard community we created in August 2010. It began as something very small and local, we wanted to find more girls to skate with. Today, we have almost 90.000 worldwide fans on facebook and millions of views of our videos.

But all that would mean nothing if it weren’t for these things, like Lennat sending me a t-shirt that says “skate hard skate safe” and a handwritten letter with the message “keep smiling always”.

This is basically the reason we keep working on this project so hard. We created a community that’s building bonds worldwide, with people you don’t even know in person and that may live or not in the other side of the world, but still united by something bigger than anything: Love. Love for a sport, for a shared passion, for us and for our friends. No matter the race, skin color, religion or language.

Lennat is one of the first people who I recall supported Longboard Girls Crew in Asia. She supported us with every possible project. She even welcomed my brother when he was visiting in Singapore! So Lenn, thank you my friend, can’t wait for your visit to Madrid this year.

First Post

Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Longboard Girls Crew, my friends, my job, Juan Rayos, my house, my roommate, my sports & my social life are obviously not enough. Starting a blog about little things i like is the smartest, obvious next step.

But here we are, so let's do this. At least i know mom will read it every now and then... more likely just when i don't answer the phone, but still.

This is me after a surf session in Galicia. Surfing (or trying) is the best. I'll start posting shit now.
